Clinical examination – small part of liver function assessment, but may indicate disease
Routine blood sample analysis – serum protein, urea, glucose, bilirubin
Dynamic liver function testing – bile acid stimulation test
Other test of liver function – clotting parameters, ammonia, ascetic fluid analysis, plasma protein C activity, imaging.
